Living in the Big Apple for nearly 3 years now made me believe that I am a Z-list celebrity with an A+ body. Rawr. I may just be the only person girlier than Barbie - who uses the term “open-mouth kiss” un-ironically (as in “Oh, Mummykins, no! I didn’t open-mouth kiss him for two months!”). Mark my words, I will be one of the most remarkable people you will ever have had the honor of knowing: you may just wanna bottle me up, lol. Want more? Click my kitty!

Oftentimes, the “trials and tribulations” of teen life are hard to handle - luckily, I had the girl above to back me up. Clarissa Darling was a high school student who had to deal with a couple of ex-hippie parents, Janet and Marshall, and an obnoxious younger brother named Ferguson. With the help of her best friend, Sam, Clarissa somehow kept a cool, sometimes sarcastic head through it all— including but not limited to, a sense of humor, a knack for making sense out of life and of course, a keen eye for fashion.
Sure, at first glance Clarissa’s wardrobe choices reminded me of something Ms. Frizzle (The Magic School Bus) would wear! From her signature oversized sweaters to striped shirts with polka dot leggings and a leather jacket to boot. Now, I wouldn’t dare try any of those because I’m sure people would consider checking me into a mental institution, but Clarissa could pull it off because she wanted her style to represent the only person she wanted to be: herself.
“Just do it!”
When it came to juggling school assignments, interesting dates (really, a boy that climbs in and out of your window!?!), and even your own family, Clarissa really had an explanation for it all. <3
