About

Hi! I love blue-colored m&m's and bacon. :-)
I also enjoy shopping. Long walks by the beach aren't really my thing... but long walks on 5th & 7th Avenues? NOW YOU'RE TALKING.
Buy me MAC and I will love you for the rest of my life-- call me fat and I will find your boyfriend and F him stupid.
Now that's settled, welcome to my Tumblr; my name is Nadine.

I ♥ NY!

One of my favorite things about living in New York is that you can fall in love with a stranger, just for a moment. It could be waiting in line at the drug store, a train ride, just a passing in the street- there’s a million little unbelievably significant moments that pass us by all the time. And when you’re least expecting it, you may find yourself sharing a moment with someone that you might not even exchange one word with.

The other day while I was riding the train home from Trader Joe’s, I shared a moment with the most gorgeous boy I have ever seen in my life. We were both waiting for the 6 train at Union Square and I noticed him the second I came down the stairs. I had my headphones in and he was talking to his friend, but we locked eyes for just a moment.

Then the train came and we both got in the same car, occasionally looking over at one another. A seat cleared, so I sat down. Two stops later the seat next to me and the seat next to his friend both cleared: he sat down next to me. We didn’t say anything to each other because we didn’t have to. Just sitting next to each other on the train, looking at each other out of the corner of our eyes, it was kind of perfect. He got off one stop before me.

But he looked back at me one last time as the train was pulling away. We’ll never see each other again & that’s kinda the perfect part about the whole thing.

This is exactly why I want to move to New York with my family.

And this is also one of the reasons why I’m happy that my family decided to move here. :-)

Unfortunately our favorite comedic actor did NOT win the Emmy (no comment on this tragic loss – if I get started, I’ll have to bleep out every other word). We do have our first Red Carpet pic and I have to say, he is looking MIGHTY MIGHTY fine! I LOVE YOU JIM!!!

At the White House event today promoting Chicago’s 2016 Olympics bid, in the middle of a fencing demonstration, somebody handed Obama a motherfucking lightsaber.
There is so much awesomeness in this photo right now I think my head might explode.

This will blow your frickin' mind: 9/9/09 baby has an 8/8/08 sister.

Now this is a coincidence – a baby was born in Wisconsin at 9:09am on September 9, 2009 (9/9/09) and when put on the hospital scale after being delivered by Cesarean section at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in La Crosse shortly after birth, weighed 9lbs, 9oz.

But the coincidence doesn’t stop there – a little more than a year earlier, the newborn’s parents had the child’s sister on August 8, 2008 (8/8/08) and she weighed 8lbs, 8oz.

Chuck Berendes and his wife, Polly, are still amazed at all the 8’s and 9’s associated with the birth of their children – so much so that the names they have given them have 8 letters and 9 letters respectively.

Demon children! DEMON CHILDREEEEEEENNNNN!!!

Luff you, Shellbear. <3 See you next week!!! :-)
